The 2019 South-East regional gathering took place in Hastings on Saturday October 26.

Full report will be available here shortly.

The gathering is for all City of Sanctuary groups in the South-East as well as partners and supporters. It is an important opportunity to share information and learn from each other – as well as to find out about critical national and international issues relevant to our movement.

We are being hosted and welcomed by Hastings Community of Sanctuary who run some fantastic projects in and around Hastings – you can read more about them here.

The themes of the day will be:

1) Increasing the participation and engagement of people seeking sanctuary

2) Working with Local Authorities

3) Using Streams and Awards

There will be inspirational speakers, workshops and, as usual, plenty of opportunities for local groups across the region to share good practice, solutions they have found to common challenges and aspirations for next year.

There are some travel bursaries available to enable people to attend the gathering who otherwise might be prevented from doing so. These bursaries are prioritised for sanctuary seekers and members of City of Sanctuary groups with no independent funding who have not previously attended a gathering. Please book your place first and then complete this form to apply for your travel bursary.
