The second Regional Meeting of City of Sanctuary groups in the North West will take place on Wednesday, October 17th from 4 pm to 6 pm in Blackburn. The venue will be the Kings Court Enterprise Centre close to Blackburn city centre at 33, King Street – post code : BB2 2DH.
This event will be hosted by the Blackburn with Darwen City of Sanctuary group and will follow a similar programme to that of our first such meeting last year in Preston Town Hall.
A couple of key speakers have been invited but the main thrust of the afternoon will be the sharing of ideas and experiences between delegates from all local groups and any partners. Delegates will be encouraged to get to know each other better by discussing common opportunities & challenges and by exploring creative ways of working together.
An “afternoon tea” of light vegetarian refreshments will be kindly provided by the ladies of the Blackburn with Darwen group.
Kings Court can be reached by walking for about 10 minutes from Blackburn train station and, for those travelling by road, car parking is available directly opposite the building and also in four privately operated car parks close by.
Further information about Kings Court
Details of the programme will be circulated nearer to the date, once speakers and other “attractions” have been finalised.
It will be helpful if you would inform Aftab Mughal how many from each local group will be attending – [email protected].
