Refugee Action has published a report ‘Locked Out of Learning’  which has found that difficulty accessing English classes is a barrier to inclusion for refugees. They surveyed waiting lists in seven UK cities, and found that refugees are being forced to wait up to two years to access English language classes.

A new opinion poll from Ipsos MORI has found that 60% of Brits believe the Government should invest in English lessons for all refugees. Just 3% believe the Government should provide funding for only Syrian refugees to learn English.

This report forms part of the ‘Let Refugees Learn’ campaign.
