A hosting scheme is where destitute sanctuary seekers are placed with volunteer hosts for anything from 1 night to several months. Several City of Sanctuary groups are involved in or run hosting schemes.
We always recommend that anyone thinking of starting a hosting scheme consults the resources available through NACCOM. NACCOM and Homeless Link have created a Hosting Toolkit – it is designed to support the establishment of new schemes and promote good practice in existing schemes
