The Detention Forum is a network of over 50 NGOs, including City of Sanctuary, which works together to campaign to end immigration detention in the UK.
We have recently begun a new campaign for a supportive environment: a compassionate and practical alternative to immigration detention. There is a growing evidence base from a number of projects in the UK, some even funded by the Home Office and endorsed by the UNHCR.
Come and join a discussion about our vision of a society without the need for immigration detention with a community-based alternative, and the key arguments that we think we can use in building support for this campaign.
