A Speaker from Hope Not Hate will provide an overview of their work to combat far- right extremism and hate crimes.
The Facilitated Conversation will share ideas on how community groups like CoS groups can support their work at the local level.The speaker will cover the following topics:
· Current state of the far-right threat in the UK (touching on the activity around asylum accommodation),
· Reporting/monitoring work at local level,
· Hopeful Town Initiatives
· Education & training programmes run by Hope not Hate that CoS groups can access
The event will also feature examples from the CoS network of how groups have responded to hate crimes/anti-migrant sentiment in their communities. There will be time for breakout rooms so attendees can ask questions, share examples and meet colleagues from the network.
