We have been enormously proud to host Asylum Matters – the awesome advocacy project which grew out of the Student Action for Refugees Regional Asylum Activism and Still Human Still Here (the coalition campaign to end destitution of people refused asylum) for the last 4 years. We are delighted that they have announced that they have become an independent charity. Whilst their legal status has changed, they will continue to work in partnership locally and nationally to improve the lives of refugees and people seeking asylum through social and political change.
City of Sanctuary will continue to mobilise behind their local, regional and national advocacy work, to support the impact of their campaigns to secure improvements to asylum policy and practice.
