We are excited to have teamed up with the TimePeace Slack Community to run a special Speed Friending Event on Wednesday 9 December 2020, 6.30 – 8:00pm
The Speed Friending Event is for anyone within the City of Sanctuary network, especially those who are seeking sanctuary.
What is Online Speed Friending?
Online Speed Friending is a fun, friendly way to meet lots of new people. Everyone is welcome 🙂
How it works?
It is an online event using Zoom. There will be a mix of group chats and short 1-to-1 conversations. We match you randomly with other guests and give you suggested questions to ask – so don’t worry if you don’t know what to say.
There will be specific topics of conversation: Food & cooking, Music, Campaigning & Volunteering, Nature & the environment and Art. When you sign-up you can select the topics that you are interested in.
The TimePeace SLACK community is an online community using SLACK to keep people connect and bridge the social gap between locals and refugees & asylum seekers arriving in the UK. At the Speed Friending event on Wednesday you will meet like-minded people who share your interests, whether sports, arts, nature or campaigning
