University of St Andrews has announced Sanctuary Scholarships for 2020

University of St Andrews, which has recently joined the Universities of Sanctuary network, has launched two new Sanctuary Scholarships specifically designed to support undergraduate and postgraduate applicants who are seeking sanctuary in the UK. Have a look at details on their website here: www.st-andrews.ac.uk/study/fees-and-funding/undergraduate/scholarships/

The scholarships will be available for the academic year 2020. Applicants with refugee status, humanitarian protection, discretionary leave and people seeking asylum are encouraged to apply for these full tuition waiver and living costs scholarships.

St Andrews is the second University of Sanctuary in Scotland, alongside the University of Edinburgh, which was one of the first awarded universities in 2017.

This initiative was led by the St Andrews Refugee and Forced Migration Network, established with the aims of developing university strategy and policy for academics at risk and providing a resource hub for current support, projects, research and teaching relating to refugees and forced mobility.

We look forward to future developments at St Andrews.
