This art gallery in Wales have just achieved something amazing.

Glynn Vivian Gallery in Swansea has become the UK’s first ever ‘Art Gallery of Sanctuary’. That means they’ve committed to making the gallery welcoming and inclusive for all.

Over the past six years, Glynn Vivian has worked with Swansea City of Sanctuary to offer workshops, events and weekly art sessions led by and for refugees and people seeking sanctuary in the local community.

Swansea has been a City of Sanctuary for ten years, and has welcomed those forced to flee their homes for generations. Hats off to our Welsh friends for leading the way yet again.
