Sanctuary in Politics is an innovative course developed in Ireland, where Places of Sanctuary Ireland recognised a need for refugees, asylum seekers and other migrants to be provided with opportunities through which they can learn how to navigate the complicated and rather different political system in Ireland.

Sanctuary in Politics is a series of modules about how the political system works in Ireland and how to communicate with the media here effectively. We also seek opportunities for our students to meet politicians in person in a constructive and organised fashion, so their concerns can be channelled to the decision-makers in a most positive manner.

You can find out more about courses coming up across Ireland, the modules covered and some examples of students' work on the Places of Sanctuary site.
