Sanctuary in Politics is an innovative learning course, developed in Ireland, where Places of Sanctuary Ireland recognised a need for refugees, asylum seekers and other migrants to be provided with opportunities through which they can learn how to navigate the complicated and rather different political system in Ireland.

Since its development, the course has been run across the UK and Ireland.

Sanctuary in Politics is a series of modules about how the political system works, campaigning and working with the media effectively.

You can find out more about courses coming up across Ireland, the modules covered and some examples of students’ work on the Sanctuary in Politics site and see below for articles about the courses that have been run in the UK.
