Our third national conference in Birmingham on 13th September provided plenty of eye-opening insights into the City of Sanctuary movement around the country. Participants from City of Sanctuary groups, refugee communities, faith groups, Universities and local government shared their experiences through a wide range of Open Space workshops, as well as exploring the potential of ‘Universities of Sanctuary’ for opening up higher education to people seeking sanctuary.
