Working with your local Council or Authority is an important element in becoming a City of Sanctuary.  Councils can also be involved in campaigns and advocacy work on issues such as destitution and resettlement.

Support from Swindon Borough Council for hosting scheme

Swindon Borough Council has agreed that hosts with Swindon’s new hosting project with a sole occupancy discount on Council tax will keep that when hosting up to 3 months.

Colchester Borough of Sanctuary

Colchester Borough Council have passed a motion to become a Borough of Sanctuary

Powys County Council

The Hay, Brecon and Talgarth group have been in touch with their Council about the Resettlement scheme.
